Ladies overpower Peaster

The Lady Lions secured their first district win Tuesday, Dec. 19 with a 34-29 victory over Peaster. “It was such a big win for us,” said Lady Lions head basketball coach Kim Perez. “We were limited with numbers once again but everyone stepped up and we took care of business.

Lions battle Hounds at home

The Dublin Lions were stopped short by Peaster in a Dec. 19 home game that ended in a 72-26 win for the Greyhounds. “It wasn’t how we hoped and we got good looks but we just couldn’t put the ball in the net,” said Dublin Lions head basketball coach Wes Grisham.

Cards, Ladies claim wins

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals were 2-0 in District heading into this week’s game after a 35-18 victory over Bluff Dales on Dec. 15 and a 37-36 nail-biter win against Strawn on Dec. 12. The Lingleville Cardinals were 8-8 for the season heading into the week after a 42-31 win over DeLeon on Dec.

The Dublin Lady Lions were in close competition on Friday, Dec. 15 as they got edged out by the Lady Longhorns at Early 48- 37. Adriana Stewart led scoring in the game with 9 points followed by Madison Turley and Derby Kukla, who each scored 8. Olivia Salyer and Adriana Rosalez each had 7.

Lions challenge Chargers

The Dublin Lions were 3-9 heading into Tuesday’s game against Peaster at home. This season record reflected a 68-45 away loss to the Keene Chargers on Tuesday, Dec. 12. The Lions will return to the court on Dec. 27-29 as they play in the Brownwood Tournament.
