BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 53 degrees; 8.72 feet below pool. Black bass to 7 pounds are excellent on jerkbaits and Alabama rigs in 6-12 feet of water. Fish are staging up to prespawn on secondary points and mouth of cove pocket, Crappie are fair around the docks and brush piles on minnows in 12-15 feet of water. White bass are good on crankbaits and Alabama rigs. Catfish are slow at baited holes.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 50-55 degrees; 0.14 feet below pool. Water temperatures are in the lower to mid 50s. The lake is full, but due to the recent rain there is a lot of floating debris. Largemouth bass action is improving, numbers can be caught with the occasional bigger fish, especially on the warmer afternoons. Some sand bass catches have been reported near Hunter Park and the river above Hunter Park. Striped bass are slow to fair to 10 pounds on swimbaits and jigs worked near the river channel near Bentwater and near Indian Harbor. Big yellow and blue catfish to 30 pounds are possible on the upper ends on large cut shad fished on the flats adjacent to the river channel. Crappie action continues to be good on small jigs and minnows fished on deeper structures. The crappie are moving into the shallows on those warmer days.

POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. Water clear; 50-55 degrees; 0.50 feet below pool. Striper are fair to slow with swimbaits casted along the shoreline. Look for them in 5-20 feet of water. Sand bass are fair to good with small slabs and small jigs are the way to go, but some can be caught using small live bait also. Your best bet is to use deadstick methods using jigs and slabs. White and silver are the preferred colors. Check river channels and large creek channels. Catfish are good using cut shad in 1-6 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 2-8 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

GOOD. Water normal stain; 50 degrees; 12.73 feet below pool. Bank anglers are reporting a good bite for crappie and catfish. Ramps are closed. Possible to launch a boat from the gravel at Buffalo Springs.

WEATHERFORD

FAIR. Water stained; 51 degrees; 7.24 feet below pool. After the rains catfish are good in the runoff in the upper end of the lake. Crappie are fair in the crappie house with minnows and jigs. Bass are slow, with a few catches in 15-20 feet of water using Texas rigs and crankbaits.
