Girls lift 2nd place at DeLeon

The Dublin Lady Lion powerlifting team took second place at the DeLeon invitational meet on Thursday, Feb. 15.

Leading the way for the Dublin teams were first place finishers:

■ Lucero Marquez in the 132 pound weight class with a total lift of 605 pounds (225 squat, 135 bench and 245 dead lift)

■ Andrea Rosalez in the 165 with a total of 730 (285 squat, 165 bench and 280 dead lift)

■ Karyna Lopez in the 198 with a total of 795 (300 squat, 235 bench and 260 dead lift)

■ Mariana Ortiz in the 220 with a total of 975 (385 squat, 265 bench and 325 dead lift)

■ Frida Villicana in the 242 with a total of 665 (285 squat, 120 bench and 260 dead lift) Also contributing to the team’s second place finish were:

■ Kim Rojas, 2nd in the 105 with a total of 445 (165 squat, 75 bench and 205 dead lift)

■ Sandra Vasquez, 3rd in the 114 with a total of 525 (215 squat, 105 bench and 205 dead lift)

■ Samantha Martinez, 4th in the 97 with a total of 340 (140 squat, 45 bench and 155 dead lift)

■ Candy Rodriguez, 4th in the 148 with a total of 595 (230 squat, 135 bench and 230 dead lift)

■ Jaylie Williams, 4th in the 132 with a total of 555 (230 squat, 85 bench and 240 dead lift)

■ Summer Anderson, 5th in the 123 with a total of 500 (185 squat, 110 bench and 205 dead lift
