The Dublin Lady Lions softball team played in the Clyde tournament last week and although they weren’t able to secure a win, they were able to work on key parts of the game as they start their season.

They ended strong in a narrow 8-7 loss to TLCA of San Angelo.

“It was a very close game,” said Lady Lions head softball coach Vanessa Longoria. “We just didn’t finish.”

This followed a 16-1 loss to Jim Ned and 18-0 loss to Clyde.

“This weekend was a great weekend to see some great softball and grow and get better,” said Longoria. “We faced some very great competitive teams this weekend. Our hitting is fantastic we just need to clean up our defense and limit errors.”
