Dublin Lion and Lady Lion senior basketball players were escorted down the court Friday, Feb. 2 prior to the varsity Lions game as part of Sr. Night. Lions recognized included: Carson Ivie, Aiden Salyer, Jacob Arnal, Aidan Hernandez, Jovan Balderas and Dane Lewis.

Tarleton releases 2024 football schedule

After a season that felt a bit shorter than usual with no bye week, five home games and no playoff eligibility despite the Tarleton State football team going 8-3, that all changes next season. The reclassification period will be over, meaning Texan Football will be playoff eligible.

The Dublin Lady Lions faced Peaster and Millsap for the second time in the district schedule with a close fight against the Greyhounds and gaining ground on the Bulldogs. The Lady Lions faced Peaster in a 38-26 away loss Tuesday, Jan. 23.

The Dublin Lions fought a close battle with the Millsap Bulldogs (falling 72-63) at home Friday, Jan. 26.

FISHING REPORT

BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water stained; 34-42 degrees; 8.70 feet below pool. Black bass are poor with catches up to 4 pounds on jigs in 4-12 feet of water. Crappie poor around the docks and brush piles on minnows in 10-15 feet of water. White bass are poor on crankbaits and small jigs.

Several Dublin lifters scored big results as DHS hosted the Dublin Invitational meet on Thursday. Jan. 18. “The kids competed hard and really pushed themselves this week,” said head powerlifting coach Wes Benfer.
