Dublin Lady Lions fans were treated to a crowdpleasing afternoon matinee Tuesday, Nov. 21 as the Dublin girls hosted Meridian in 42-35 victory for the home team. “We needed this dub,” said head Lady Lions basketball coach Kim Perez. “It helped us mentally. We had some great defense.

The Dublin Lions basketball boys leapt into the season with an 81-76 away win over the Brownwood Lions on Nov. 14. “It was an intense game with a playoff atmosphere and a great way to start off the year,” said head Lions basketball coach Wes Grisham.

The Dublin Lady Lions traveled to Hamilton for the basketball tournament, claiming 5th place out of 16 teams. The ladies won against Abilene Christian Academy and lost to Hico and Gorman before being narrowly edged out by Zephyr. This tourney appearance followed a 48-34 loss to Santo on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
