The Dublin men’s and women’s powerlifting teams scored 3rd and 2nd place respectively at the Hico Invitational Powerlifting meet Thursday, Jan. 25 on the strength of several medalists.

Dubliners getting gold were: ■ Emmanuel Ramirez in the men’s 198 with a total of 1,185 (430 squat, 295 bench and 4600 dead lift);

■ Sandra Vazquez in the women’s 114 with a total of 550 (235 squat, 100 bench and 215 dead lift)

■ Cassidy Adair in the women’s 198 with a total of 840 (315 squat, 210 bench and 315 dead lift);

■ Mariana Ortiz in the women’s 220 with a total of 965 (360 squat, 265 bench and 340 dead lift) Second place finishes were secured by: ■ Yovany Ortiz in the men’s 114 with a total of 645 (220 squat, 155 bench and 270 dead lift);

■ Kim Rojas in the women’s 105 with 475 (185 squat, 75 bench and 215 dead lift);

■ Summer Anderson in the women’s 132 with a total of 495 (185 squat, 105 bench and 205 dead lift) ■ Karyna Lopez in the women’s 181 with a total of

755 (285 squat, 215 bench and 255 dead lift) Other Dublin results included: ■ Paul Adams, 3rd in the men’s 114 with 525 (190 squat, 105 bench and 230 dead lift)

■ Alonso Moreno, 3rd in the men’s 165 with 1,170 (465 squat, 245 bench and 460 dead lift);

■ Caige Balvantin, 3rd in the men’s 220 with 1,075 (425 squat, 265 bench and 385 dead lift)

■ Juan Elicerio, 3rd in the men’s 242 with 935 (390 squat, 185 bench and 360 dead lift)

■ Samantha Martinez, 3rd in the women’s 97 with 295 (115 squat, 45 bench and

135 dead lift)

■ Lucas Azua, 4th in the men’s 165 with a total of
