BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 34-42 degrees; 8.70 feet below pool. Black bass are poor with catches up to 4 pounds on jigs in 4-12 feet of water. Crappie poor around the docks and brush piles on minnows in 10-15 feet of water. White bass are poor on crankbaits and small jigs. Catfish are slow at baited holes

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 0.27 feet below pool. Granbury water temperatures are in the lower 40s and the water level is close to full pool. Fishing reports for most species were slower due to the colder weather with better reports coming for those fishing in the afternoon. There have been some good catches of really large blue and yellow catfish close to 40 pounds on the upper ends on cut bait. Striped bass and white bass are fair on jigs worked in deeper water mid-lake, look for the birds. Black bass continue to be fair to good on soft plastics fished near deeper docks and flats just off the main channel. Crappie reports are mixed, but best reports are coming from Water’s Edge to Bentwater on submerged timber using small crappie jigs and/or minnows.

POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. Water clear; 40-45 degrees; 1.08 feet below pool. Striped bass are fair in 30-40 feet of water. Deadsticking methods are in full swing, but live bait is still hanging in there as the way to go. River channels are the places to look for them, but they have slowed down and aren’t really moving around too much. Sand bass are fair to good using small slabs and small jigs, with a few catches using small live bait. Chartreuse, white, and silver are good colors. Catfish are good. Cut shad and cut carp are good baits and producing good numbers of fish in 2-12 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 2-8 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 50 degrees; 12.80 feet below pool. Few anglers and reports after the recent cold front.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 45 degrees; 7.42 feet below pool. Weatherford crappie house had several visitors this week. The crappie were slow but steady, with a couple of large catches. Best bites on small minnows and lightly colored jigs working to 3 feet off the bottom. Bass are poor unless you are on a boat near the dam, then they are slow at best. Some walleye have been caught on large minnows but showing very slow. Again you will need a boat to get to the deepest part of the lake. Catfish are slow to fair on cut baits and stink baits, with the largest caught near the dam area. The weather is not the best folks, so pick your best days and get out there. Expect the crappie to pick up after a cold spell. Happy Fishing and good luck!
