Dublin lost two people of service last week, prompting many to remember what they contributed to their community. Becky Norris The Dublin City Council meeting Monday night was opened with Mayor David Leatherwood recognizing the loss of Becky Norris, a former Dublin mayor.

Group seeks to up code work

Extra chairs were set out Monday, Aug. 14 during the Dublin City Council meeting as 35 were in attendance, many in support of a new group called Revitalize Dublin aimed at more active code enforcement within the city.

Multiple agencies responded to a 15-acre grass fire Friday, Aug. 11 on County Road 385 near the Chicken House Flea Market. Erath County Fire, Lingleville VFD, Dublin VFD, Stephenville Fire Department and Harbin VFD all responded to the fire. Dublin VFD remained on scene for about six hours as the fire got into brush that was hard to extinguish. Rodeo Heritage Celebration approaches

An exciting time is on the horizon for the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum and for the citizens of Dublin as a 20th anniversary celebration is planned Saturday, Sept. 2. Though the event is not until September, some deadlines for the event are quickly approaching.
