The last chance to get tickets for the annual Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum honoree benefit is quickly approaching.

The event will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Dublin Intermediate School Cafeteria (609 Thomas).

Tickets are $22 each and include the meal, special entertainment, screening of a special film and seats for the auction with many great items perfect for Christmas gifts.

Honorees this year include bronc and bull rider Hughie Long, 1958 Dublin Rodeo Queen Janyce Guyger Bradberry Sledge and World Champion bronc and bull rider G.K. Lewallen. The film tribute will tell the story of Fritz Truan, one of the few riders that tackled Hell’s Angel, the famous bronc from the World’s Championship Rodeo.

The event will also include the drawing for the 4th collectible Henry Big Boy Rifle with special engraving. Tickets are available at $10 each or three for $20.

The museum is still accepting auction items and sponsorships for those who want to support the Dublin institution in preserving the legend of Everett Colborn and Gene Autry’s World’s Championship Rodeo headquartered at Dublin, Texas starting in 1937 to 1959. For over twenty years, the road to Madison Square Garden and other national rodeos began on the Lightning C Ranch at Dublin, Texas.

Tickets can be picked up Wednesdays through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the museum. Alternatively, checks can be sent to PO Box 321, Dublin TX 76446 or credit card payments can be called in to 254-445-0220 or 254-434-3675.

Proceeds from the event will go toward keeping the museum alive and growing. The Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum is located at 118 W. Blackjack.
