Plan on the Dublin Market Aug. 19 Plan on the Dublin Market, Aug. 19, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Wright Park. There will be a bunch of vendors—and some new ones. There’ll be produce, jams, jellies, salsas, and more. Fresh breads, cookies, and treats galore.

Rodeo Heritage to host photo contest

As the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum approaches its 20th anniversary, they are partnering with the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council to have a Country and Western Themed Photography Contest. All photos must be country and western themed photos and all ages are welcome.

July 24 There was a report of someone shooting off a firearm in the 800 block of Liberty. Officers spoke with the caller and made contact with several residences in the area. They advised they had not heard shots fired. There was a report of loud music in the 300 block of North Grafton.

Tarleton hosts grad Friday

Tarleton State University will confer diplomas during summer commencement exercises at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Memorial Stadium on the Stephenville campus.

Teachers welcomed back with breakfast, shopping spree

Teachers were welcomed back to DISD in full force Tuesday, Aug. 1 with the district’s annual Welcome Back Breakfast and Convocation.

State fire threat raised

Texas A&M Forest Service has raised the State Wildfire Preparedness Level to Level 4 due to the recent increase in wildfire activity across the state and the growing potential for wildfires to become more severe, making them harder to control.

BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water slightly stained; 87-89 degrees; 6.11 feet below pool. Black bass to 5.54 pounds are good on shaky heads, glide baits, crankbaits and soft plastic worms in 5-18 feet of water early and late in the day.
