DHS golf starts season

Dublin High School golf started out its season with some new faces as they teed off at Coleman Feb. 22-23.Newcomer Hayden Millburn came in the lowest for Dublin with 109 strokes followed by Bailey Watson and Dane Lewis with 111 and 112 respectively. Fellow newcomer Jace Mendez logged 131.

Cards zip in against Zephyr

The Cardinals scrapped with Zephyr in a 42-36 home victory on Feb. 16 so they could keep sharp for the Feb. 20 Bi-District playoff against Walnuts Springs at Hico. The Cards were down 34-29 as the fourth quarter began and leapt back with some energy.

The Dublin Lion powerlifting team took second place at the DeLeon Invitational meet Thursday, Feb. 15 as they headed into their Last Chance (to advance) Meet at Alvord Feb. 22.

Girls lift 2nd place at DeLeon

The Dublin Lady Lion powerlifting team took second place at the DeLeon invitational meet on Thursday, Feb. 15.

Lady Lions clash in Clyde

The Dublin Lady Lions softball team played in the Clyde tournament last week and although they weren’t able to secure a win, they were able to work on key parts of the game as they start their season. They ended strong in a narrow 8-7 loss to TLCA of San Angelo.

LISD approves contracts

The Lingleville ISD School Board approved to renew all administrator contracts following a closed session in their regular meeting Feb. 8.
