The Dublin Dandi-Lion Drill team for2024-25 was named Saturday, Feb. 24 following tryouts.Serving as Captain will be Kimberly Rojas while lieutenants will be Kassandra Rodriguez, Brecedes Rojas and Makayla Facio.

Dublin Lions had given up two games in the Brown County Tournament when they took the Early High School diamond Friday, Feb. 23 to face the Goldthwaite Eagles.When time was called, the Lions had claimed the first victory under Coach Corde Morris 10-2.

Dublin High School golf started out its season with some new faces as they teed off at Coleman Feb. 22-23.Newcomer Hayden Millburn came in the lowest for Dublin with 109 strokes followed by Bailey Watson and Dane Lewis with 111 and 112 respectively. Fellow newcomer Jace Mendez logged 131.

Cards zip in against Zephyr

The Cardinals scrapped with Zephyr in a 42-36 home victory on Feb. 16 so they could keep sharp for the Feb. 20 Bi-District playoff against Walnuts Springs at Hico. The Cards were down 34-29 as the fourth quarter began and leapt back with some energy.
