Dublin stops for snow days Local schools and businesses closed Feb. 3 and Feb 4 as rains gave way to ice as temperatures dropped. Rainfall froze as ice fell and a blanket of snow topped it off. The sub-freezing temperatures kept snow on the ground and ice on branches as wildlife such as birds scavenged for food to keep warm. Traffic was light but TxDOT and public works crews made the rounds to respond to road needs.
