GRANBURY
SLOW. Water stained; 56-62 degrees; 8.48 feet below pool. Black bass to 9.27 pounds are excellent on crankbaits in 4-12 feet of water on flats around spawning areas. Alabama rigs around the rocky shoreline near the transition areas from winter to prespawn. Crappie are fair toward the mouth of the creeks in 2-7 feet of water staging for the spawn near the 279 Bridge. White bass are slow and scattered near the mouth of pockets. Catfish are slow on cut bait.
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 58 degrees; 1.23 feet below pool. Spring like fishing is here. Golden alga continues to plague the midlake area where fishing is slow. Spawning white bass continue to be good to excellent in the river near Tin Top. Striped bass are good on the lower ends on live shad and jigs fished near channel breaks. Catfish continue to be good on cut shad fished near Hunter Park. Crappie are fair to good under deeper docks on small minnows and jigs. Black bass reports are fair to good on crankbaits and soft plastics near main lake creek entrances and in the river above Granbury.
POSSUM KINGDOM
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 56-60 degrees; 5.84 feet below pool. Striper fishing is fair in 20-40 feet of water using live shad or white and yellow jigs. Sand bass are great in 20-30 feet of water using live shad, or white and chartreuse colored jigs and divers. Catfish are fair and scattered in 2-20 feet of water using cut and live shad fished on bottom. 2-20ft of water. Water clarity is 2-10 feet of water.
PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 60 degrees; 9.19 feet below pool. With the water temperature and weather warming, look for fish to push into the shallows
WEATHERFORD
SLOW. Water stained; 58 degrees; 7.63 feet below pool. Crappie are fair to good along the rocks near the crappie house with jigs and minnows. Catfish are slow off rocks near the dam with cut bait and stink bait. White bass are slow on slabs. Bass are slow in deep water using crankbaits and jigs.
WHITNEY
GREAT. Water lightly stained; 58 degrees; 5.99 feet below pool. Crappie are good on brush, open water, and in creeks in 2-20 feet of water suspended 12-25 feet using Snacky lures FS200 with the Eyehole Jig. After the full moon this week and warm weather there are fish currently on the banks. Report by Robert Stover, Workingman Crappie Guide. Limits of striped bass are biting on live bait and Alabama rigs fished near McCown Valley and near Bear Creek. The sand bass run on the upper ends near Hamm Creek is good to excellent on roadrunners and spinnerbaits.
