BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water slightly stained; 49-52 degrees; 8.32 feet below pool. Bass are slow to five pounds in 3-8 feet of water on the rocks using Alabama rigs, squarebills and craw colored jigs. Crappie are slow on minnows. White bass are slow on jigs.

Preemergent Sandbur Herbicides for Lawns Last summer was hard on lawns, the extensive heat, wind, and lack of moisture thinned the turfgrass in many if not most yards. Even with irrigation it was hard to keep grass growing and healthy.

At a brief commissioners court meeting Monday, Jan. 23, Erath commissioners handled 24 agenda items. Commissioner Dee Stephens provided an update on the new county annex building under construction. Stephens explained the completion date is the middle of June. “They are right on track,” he said.

More than 50 neighbors came to Granny Clark’s on Sunday, Jan. 15 to wish Ralph and Peggy DeLaVergne, owners of DeLaVergne Plumbing and Remodeling, well as they retired at the beginning of this year. The couple started the Dublin plumbing business in 2007 and officially retired as of Dec. 31, 2022.

Filing is underway for three city and two school board positions for the election to be held in Dublin during the May 6 general election. Deadline to file is Feb. 17 by 5 p.m. On the school side, the positions held by Blanca Martineau and Bill Rodriguez are up for election.
