When Dionicia Perez Azua has a goal, she will accomplish it. Over the course of her career, Azua went from working for St Gobain to pay her way through cosmetology school to serving as the chief clerk for the Erath County Justice of the Peace, and she is proud of her journey.

Atmos launches weatherization program

Atmos Energy has sent out a notice that qualified customers in North, Central, and East Texas can apply for up to $4,000 in home upgrades at no cost. These upgrades can help customers keep cool as summer temperatures climb, stay warm in the winter and save money on utility bills.

Donations needed for back-to-school fair

It has been said it takes a village, and to get students prepared for the upcoming school year, Dublin citizens are being asked to help at this year’s annual Back-to-School Fair. The Dublin Public Library will be hosting its Back-to-School Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

EDC revamps grants

The Dublin EDC has recently reorganized its grants and is offering five of them to assist business owners and the community.
Brenda Baumert and Sandra Hammons, nieces of World War II veteran Noel Shoup, will be able to welcome their uncle back home after he went missing in action after his plane was shot down in France on Feb. 28, 1944. Erath WWII vet coming home to rest after 79 years

Between July 26 and Sept. 8, 2018, a recovery team with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency was excavating the site of a plane crash near the town of Wiammeville in France.
