Mixing and Mingling

Chamber officials greeted the public at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce’s Mixer at Grafton Center Thursday. The come-and-go event was highly attended with terrific door prizes and refreshments. The event gave chamber members the chance to network with one another.

7th Brigade Muster, Living History this weekend in Proctor

Those interested in history may want to check out an event hosted by the Central Texas Brigade in Proctor this weekend. The inaugural fall 7th Brigade Muster and Living History will held Sept. 8-10.

Texas fruit conference Oct. 18-20

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s annual Texas Fruit Conference is set for Oct. 18-20 in Fredericksburg with registration now accepted. Peaches are one of many fruits that will be discussed during the 2023 Texas Fruit Conference that will be held Oct. 18-20 in Fredericksburg.

2023 DHS Homecoming Candidates

Homecoming King will be announced at the DHS Pep Rally on Friday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 a.m. Homecoming Queen will be announced at 6:30 p.m. on the Cervetto Field.

Rodeo this weekend

This weekend will offer a time of remembrance and rodeo fun as the Diamond Cross Rodeo returns for its third consecutive year on Friday, Sept. 8-Saturday, Sept. 9 with 200 contestants entered into the event. Awardwinning rodeo clown Chase Nolen will also be in the ring to add to the entertainment.

Revitalize Dublin looks for volunteers

The Dublin community is being called to help their neighbors in cleaning up a property in disrepair as Revitalize Dublin announced its first community project of working on 354 W. Blackjack. The clean-up is slated to begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16.

Homecoming set for Friday, Sept 8

The Dublin Lions will turn out in a spectacle of green and gold this Friday as they celebrate their annual Homecoming. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. at Bob and Norma Cervetto Stadium as the Lions face off against the Anson Tigers.

WWII veteran remains return home Friday

After much waiting, the remains of World War II veteran Noel Shoup will be returning home to Dublin this Friday. A processional will be held to pay respects to Shoup on Friday whose arrival in Dublin is estimated after 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8. Shoup died Feb.
