CWJC classes kick off in August

Christian Women’s Job Corporation/ Transformation Pathway will begin their regular training program on Tuesday, August 22. The classes will be each Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and will be seminars on job readiness.

Stephenville Fire Department celebrated its 125th birthday Friday, July 7 in grand fashion with guest speakers, citizens and fire department members in attendance. Friday morning dignitaries and citizens were welcomed to Central Fire Station on Pecan Hill Drive in Stephenville.

BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water clear; 85-87 degrees; 5.14 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.69-pounds are slow on jigs, topwater lures, crankbaits and soft plastic worms in 3-20 feet of water. Crappie are poor in brush piles on jigs in 8-15 feet of water and on minnows around the docks.
