October Market on horizon

The October Market is approaching in Wright Park, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21.

We expect around two dozen vendors, including some new vendors. New items have been crafted, pickled, canned, and baked to delight you. Many items would make unique gifts. A look at Dublin Market Days Facebook page will give you a glance at what will be on offer. Come early to Wright Park, Saturday, Oct. 21, 9 p.m. until 1 p.m.

Comanche Museum offers Sports Hero
The Comanche County Historical Museum is excited to announce a 1st Annual Comanche County Sports Heroes Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21.

There will be outdoor contests; a DVD indoors of past heroes; and special invited guests: professional rodeo bull riders and Members of the Championship Comanche High School 1951 and 1998 Girls Basketball State Winners; as well as a NFL/CFL former player. Memorabilia of an MLB pitcher.

There will be fun for the whole family. The museum is located at 402 Moorman Road and can be reached at 325-356-5115.

Electronics recycling event set

There will be an electronics recycling event Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The event is open to all Erath County residents.

No hazardous materials, light bulbs, alkaline batteries or items containing Freon will be accepted.

Drop off is located at 1201 Glen Rose Road in Stephenville.

DQ hosts car show Saturday

Come join everyone Saturday, Oct. 14 for an evening of cool cars and hanging out at the Dublin Dairy Queen.

Cruise in at the Dublin Dairy Queen will be starting at 5 p.m. and everyone is welcome to come see some cool cars, have tasty treats and some old fashioned fun.

Chairs are encouraged and the event is welcome to everyone.
