Tarleton Tennis nabs international prospects

Head coach Elianne Douglas-Miron has had a stretch of recruiting success, and this year is no different, as Tarleton State Tennis has signed two strong prospects. The Texans announced Thursday, Nov. 16 that they have signed Maria Castano and Duru Kuscu.
Several Dublin Jr. High band members were named to the Region 7 Honor Band after recent auditions. Dublin FFA places high at District LDEs

Dublin FFA is sending five teams to area following several big finishes at the Pecan Valley FFA District Leadership Development Events at Weatherford High School last week. For the second year in a row, Vanessa Pantoja was named District Champion in the Sr. Spanish Creed Speaking contest.

Shop Local this weekend

Following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday will offer Dubliners the opportunity to shop local and purchase Christmas presents. This year’s Small Business Saturday is Nov. 25.

Dublin Lions from the boys athletic department helped carry out boxes and shelving as the Dublin Public Library got ready to close for a major renovation project that is underway. The library will be closed until Dec. 9 as it receives new furniture, paint, carpeting and reorganization.
