Researchers at the Texas A&M AgriLife Center for Grazinglands and Ranch Management are investigating the impact of grazing practices on the long-term sustainability and biodiversity of landscapes enrolled in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Conservation Reserve Program.

FISHING REPORT

BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water stained; 60-62 degrees; 8.57 feet below pool. Black bass are slow on jigs and on crankbaits in 5-10 feet of water. Crappie are slow around the docks on minnows in 10-12 feet of water. White bass are slow on crankbaits and small jigs. Catfish are slow on baited holes.

Tour of homes this Sunday

Editor’s note: second in a two-part series This year’s Tour of Homes hosted by the Dublin Garden Club is slated for this Sunday and will feature four spots full of holiday spirit. The tour will be hosted from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10.

Community Table ends decade of giving

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, volunteers gathered at the First Methodist Church in the fellowship hall for the final Community Table, preparing and packaging hundreds of meals for neighbors as they have done for nearly 10 years.

Library to reopen Dec. 9

The Dublin Public Library is anticipated to reopen Saturday, Dec. 9 and will be ready to put its best foot forward after receiving a major renovation. The library, which has been closed since Saturday, Nov. 18, has received new paint, brand new carpet, two new murals and new furniture and shelving.

Arrest made in offender shooting

A shooting occurred over the weekend in Stephenville when a registered sex offender was shot. According to information released by the Stephenville Police Department, on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 9:46 p.m., SPD was dispatched to an injured male in the 300 block of Morgan Mill Rd.

Pantoja 1st in State!

“She’s top of the top. There’s nobody higher than her.” These were the words Dublin FFA sponsor Derek Dunlap used to describe Vanessa Pantoja after the DHS junior took first place in Sr. Creed Speaking at the state Leadership and Development Event competition this past weekend.
