Jan. 22

A reporting person in the 200 block of Shamrock has legal questions and requested a call back.

A vehicle crashed into a yard in the 400 block of Blackjack and left the scene. The caller had the vehicle on her Ring camera.

A reporting party in the 700 block of North Patrick stated that they received a text that someone was trying to break into their truck. An officer made the scene and a tow truck driver was there. The caller’s soon to be ex-wife sent the tow company to retrieve the truck. Officer advised this would be a civil issue since the truck is registered to them both.

Jan. 23

Ivan Chavez was arrested on a warrant for a parole violation.

Jan. 24

A reporting person in the 300 block of Gracie stated that they saw a drug transaction.

A person in the 500 block of North Patrick stated dogs were out again chasing cars and running around the neighborhood. An officer made contact with the dog owner, they received a warning and they were advised that they will receive a citation for dog at large if they were out again.

A reporting person on CR 351 stated that a female was dropped off and was walking down the main road. An officer made contact with the female, she was dropped off to buy a drink and snacks, and was walking back home. Due to the foggy conditions, the officer gave her a courtesy ride back home.

There was a burglary alarm that went off at the high school. School Resource Officer was on scene and everything was OK.

Jan. 25

A mental check was completed on someone threatening self-harm.

A person in the 700 block of Sheehan stated that they loaned their truck to someone three weeks ago and they still have not gotten it back.

There was a dark SUV driving around the library. An officer made the scene and spoke with two kids that stated an older man with a dog in his lap slowly followed them from the park to Brookshires. The officer waited for the parents to pick them up and spent time trying to locate the vehicle.

Jan. 26

An officer was out with a vehicle at Dublin Stop that had been there for awhile. There was a note on the car that they would pick it up the next day.

Jan. 27

There was a property dispute in the 500 block of East Elm. Officer spoke to one of the parties about their shed that the neighbor had been messing with. An officer advised them to call city Code Enforcement about the property lines.

There was a report of a male in the 300 block of North Patrick standing at the corner of the caller’s yard for about 15 minutes. Officer spoke to him and he said he was waiting for his wife to get off work and did not want to stand out front and get her in trouble.

A person stated a Dublin officer came to his house and knocked on his door, but he was not home. Requested a call back.

A domestic disturbance occurred between male and female. Were separated and male left with a family member.

Jan. 28

A reporting person in the 200 block of Johnson Street stated there were some items taken out of the truck. The officer helped recover the items that were missing from the truck.

There was a call for a civil standby in the 1000 block of North Patrick so a person could get their belongings from a residence.
