Comanche Historical Museum hosting quilt show The Comanche County Historical Museum is hosting a Quilt Show June 15 through July 15 at the Museum. We will feature several family and friendship quilts that have been donated or loaned to the Museum.

Honored for sharing belief with brothers behind bars

Mac McKinnon of Dublin recently received his cross made of prison bars from the Bill Glass Behind the Bars Prison Ministry. The cross is given after five prison visits, the latest one coming at the Bonham Choice Moore prison.

May 30 Report of what sounded Report of what sounded like gunfire in the 500 block of East Elm Street. Officers located kids popping black cat fire-works. A turtle with an egg was re-ported in a caller’s backyard in the 300 block of Blackjack. Officer relocated the turtle near a pond.

A love of home

Dublin’s annual Hearts Home Reunion allowed classmates, friends and citizens to get together Saturday, June 11 at the Community Building. The event was sponsored by Bank of Houston, Dublin Division and the Dublin Historical Society.

Library wrangles writers for showcase

Dublin Public Library hosted a local Author’s Showcase Saturday, June 11. Citizens were able to purchase the authors’ books and get them signed and the library also gave away free books purchased by the authors.
