BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water stained; 60-63 degrees; 2.44 feet low. Bass are good up to 10 pounds on jigs, crankbaits and swimbaits in 1-10 feet of water. Crappie are excellent on Lil Fishies in 12 feet of water. White bass are excellent on crankbaits and swimbaits in 2-6 feet of water. GRANBURY SLOW.

Some rainfall, including some severe weather, was reported in the area. Most counties reported short soil moisture levels. Several rangeland and pasture fires occurred. Corn fields emerged nicely given the dry conditions at planting. Fieldwork and hay planting occurred.
