Election Day is Saturday

A total of 1,920 Erath County voters cast their ballot in early voting for the May 7 general elections as of 9 a.m. Tuesday. There were 305 in Dublin, where voters are facing contested races for three Dublin ISD School Board positions.

Officers memorial set May 10

The third annual Erath County Peace Officers Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 8 a.m. with Erath County law enforcement agencies coordinating and in attendance. The event will take place at the Paradigm building (555 W. Washington) in Stephenville. —Citizen staff report

Three Oaks to host open house

Three Oaks is inviting the community to an open house and lunch in honor if its 25th anniversary of providing independent and assisted living services to the Dublin community. The event will be held May 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 118 E. Live Oak Street.

The teachers were excellent leaders and the boys had lots of energy. The athletic boys who lettered in the spring of 1925 thought that Dublin needed a gymnasium for their school. High school basketball was still in its infancy in 1925.
