For the third year in a row, all Dublin ISD students are being provided with free school supplies on behalf of the district.
“I’m glad we can do this to help families in the district,” said Dublin ISD Superintendent Melissa Summers. “Parents have enough stress [with other expenses].”
Students will only need to provide backpacks and they will be provided with all the supplies needed to fill them on the first day of school Aug. 10. (Pre-K students will also need to provide a nap mat.)
Following the announcement last week, teachers and principals are now collaborating on lists of supplies and ordering them so they can be organized and ready for day one.
“It’s a lot, but we want to do what’s right by the kids,” Summers said in appreciation of the extra effort being taken on by staff.
