Several Christmas events are on tap for Dec. 2 including this year’s annual lighted Christmas parade hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.

Dublin Lions from the boys athletic department helped carry out boxes and shelving as the Dublin Public Library got ready to close for a major renovation project that is underway. The library will be closed until Dec. 9 as it receives new furniture, paint, carpeting and reorganization.

Turkey Giveaway Saturday

BMY, Mattressville and Bar Diamond are partnering for the annual Great Turkey Giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 18 at BMY Wealth Management Group in Stephenville (3020 NW Loop). During the event, more than 1,200 pounds of free turkeys will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis.

Dublin Market showcases authors Saturday is the Dublin Market in Wright Park. Featured: a showcase of local authors and their books! There are books for all ages, spanning a wide variety of genres. The authors are amazing people.

Kids of all ages enjoy playing on the Kingdom Kids Preschool new playground. The preschool associated with First Baptist Church recently installed a brand new playground with a cover beside the school building and hosting an open house Friday, Nov. 10.

Police Log

There was a report of an aggressive dog on Woodland Trail. Officer made scene, spoke with owner who secured the dog into the house until the fence could be fixed where the dog couldn’t get out. Officer observed the dog which didn’t seem aggressive, and the owner was given a warning.

Dublin Garden Club

The Dublin Garden Club held their regular scheduled meeting November 8th. Guest speaker was Master Naturalist, Jan Rogers.
