Complimentary meal offered for Veterans Day The Stephenville Area Elks Lodge will be offering a complimentary meal for veterans from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Veterans Memorial on the Dublin Library Lawn. Please have an ID. For details call 817-776-2138.

Sales tax sees slight decline for August

Dublin sales tax collections were down slightly in August, at 0.81 percent, compared to August 2022, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar. For the month of August 2023, Dublin received $50,643.80, compared to $51,059.90 in August 2022.

Joint operation yields drug arrests

A total of 14 individuals are now in custody following a joint operation with DEA, Stephenville Police and the Erath County Sheriff’s Office. The operation led to 20 indictments on conspiracy and drug trafficking charges outlined in a criminal indictment filed Oct. 2.

Red Barrel serves fresh food, fun schedule

Red Barrel Bar and Grill just celebrated its fourth anniversary in September but guests who haven’t been in a while will find a different place since owner Randy Viss brought in managers Rachel Simon and Randy Freeman in August 2021. “We’ve made lots and lots of changes,” said Simon.
