Tribute paid to Officer Cindy

A special presentation was made in honor of a fallen four-legged officer during Monday night’s regular meeting of the Dublin City Council, which ended abruptly before all business could be handled.

Filings open for council, ISD board next week

Filing for local elections for school board and city council will officially open on Wednesday, Jan. 17 for the May 4 election and both Dublin boards will have opportunities for citizens to serve. Filing is open for local elections through Friday, Feb. 16.

The annual invasion of swarming ladybugs appears to be in motion. Reports of ladybird beetles, commonly known as ladybugs, invading homes and structures across the southern U.S. have raised questions and concerns.

2023 rains rebound from dry 2022

Dublin saw an increase in rain with about 15 inches more in 2023 than in 2022. Rainfall for Dublin, as collected and reported by the Dublin Citizen every week on page A4, was at 38.35, much higher than 2022, which was 22.5. Rainfall for 2021 was 40.4 inches in.; 36.75 was collected in 2020 and 39.
