DHS softball keeps pace on DeLeon diamond

The Dublin Lady Lion softball team came out to an early lead against DeLeon in their Tuesday, Feb. 17 away match-up as they led 4-0 in the second.

Lions lift silver at home

The Dublin Lion powerlifters claimed second as they hosted the reschedule Dublin Invitational meet Saturday, Feb. 21.This team finish was bolstered in part by first place finishes by Cayson Loving, Juan Elicerio and Michael Jimenez in the 165, 275 and 308 divisions respectively.

Lady Cards end season in playoffs

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals headed to playoffs after a 66-45 win over Bluff Dale on Feb. 10, and ended their season with a bi-district loss to May.“We were on fire offensively scoring our most points that we have in a single game all season,” said head girls basketball coach Brandon Haught.

Lingleville had several Cardinals competing at the Saturday, Feb. 21 Dublin Invitational Powerlifting Meet with two placing high.Samantha Coburn placed 2nd in the girls 220 with a total of 465 pounds lifted ( 175 squat, 110 bench press, 180 dead lift).

Lions secure playoff slot

The Dublin Lions secured a spot in the playoffs following split wins last week.Their ticket was punched in an 81-71 away win over Early.“It was a fast-paced game and we were in control the whole way,” said head boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.

Cards enter playoffs

The Lingleville Cardinals finished their season 6-6 to earn a spot in the playoffs.The Cardinals had hit a four-game hot streak up to last week as they logged wins against Gorman, Three Way, Walnut Springs and Iredell before ending the season in losses to Bluff Dale and Huckabay.
