The Dublin Lady Lions split wins last week, conquering Meridian at home 3-0 Tuesday, Sept. 1 and falling to the Lady Bearcats in DeLeon 3-1 Saturday, Sept. 5.“These last two matches showed a lot of growth in our team,” said head volleyball coach Hannah Smith.

FFA State Agriscience Fair Students participating in State Agriscience Fair last year included Joanna Acevedo, Paul Adams, Xitali Briseno, Isabella Cervantes, Anabelle Delgado, David Greene, Keighly Lewis, Bently Limmer, Eli Moreno, Heidy Osornio, Jayden Rojas and Zoey Soria. Presented by FFA instructor Sophie Hayhurst. Paul Adams, David Greene and Jayden Rojas were also recognized for receiving FFA Lonestar Degrees.

Lingleville High School Cross Country Runners Garrett Hurt, Bailyn Vann and Jacob Koke brought home hardware from Huckabay after medaling in Aug. 25 events. The Lions only put up 7 to the Dragons’ 42 in the season opener at Bangs but Dublin brought some Defensive gains from last season that head coach/ athletic director Greg Hardcastle is pushing to capitalize on in coming weeks.“As a whole, our defense showed growth,” Hardcastle said.
