Dublin JV athletes ended their season in spectacular form April 8-9 as several claimed to places at the district meet held in Dublin.
The JV 4x400m girls relay team of Ismari Molina, Tyler Nail, Carmen Alvarez and Jocelyn Perez took gold with a time of 4:36.28.
Molina claimed first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:46.64. Diana Macias took silver in the event with 2:47.38 and Nail claimed bronze with 2:52.19.
Molina also claimed second in the 400 m dash by improving from the prelims (1:06.17) to 1:05.96 while Perez took third with 1:07.78 and Nail grabbed 4th with 1:09.73.
Adriana Stewart also secured a silver in the 100m dash with 13.60.
Taking silver in the boys relays were the 4x200m team of Jaiden Gauna, Jeremy Vasquez, Kyler Gaitan and Hudsen Joslin (1:38.85) and the 4x400m team of Loper, Joslin, Dylan Cisneros and Brittian Barbier.
The boys 4x100m boys relay team took third with a time of 46.78. Team members were: Gauna, Loper, Gaitan and Vasquez.
Also earning bronze medal were: Perez in the girls 200m dash with 29.41 and the 400m dash with 1:07.78 Macias in the girls 1600m run with 6:33.08 Falon Henderson in the boys pole vault with a height of 9’6” Dublin JV athletes taking 4th were: Nail in the girls 400m dash with 1:09.73 and Joslin in the boys long jump with 18’6.25” Taking 5th for Dublin JV were: Kloie Whiteley in the 100 meter hurdles with 17.62 and 300m hurdles with 51.75 Cayson Loving in the 200m dash with 24.78 Jose Filio in the 800m run with 2:23.23 Barbier in the high jump with 16’7.5” (Photos by Paul Gaudette and Danielle Meador)
