Lady Lions split wins at home, Hamilton

The Dublin Lady Lions split losses at home and in tournament play over the last week. On Aug. 16, the Dublin girls hosted the Mineral Wells in a 3-0 loss for the home team. Dublin started strong but lost footing in the first set for a 25-12 finish in MW’s favor.

Dublin Youth Football League is currently taking registrations for its 2022 flag football season. The season is deeper this year as Morgan Mill, Gorman, and Lingleville join the existing league of Dublin, DeLeon and Hico.

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 85-87 degrees; 6.13 feet low. Bass are good to 10.10 pounds on Texas rig worms and crankbaits scattered around the rocky boulders 5-16 feet of water. Crappie to one pound are excellent on minnows in 12-15 feet of water over brush piles and structures.

Lions leap into action

The 2022-23 Dublin Lions will tackle their first opponent of the season in scrimmages starting this week. On Friday, the JV and Varsity travel to Hamilton to match up against the Bulldogs with the JV scrimmage at 6 p.m. and the varsity following at 7:30 p.m.
