U.S. Rep. asks Erath citizens for input

A room full of people greeted U.S. Rep. August Pfluger and his staff at a town hall meeting Thursday, Aug. 18 at the Erath County Courthouse. The meeting addressed many partisan issues and took the temperature of those in attendance regarding some items on the Republican Party platform.

Court talks first responders

Several items regarding first responders were addressed at the Monday, Aug. 22 Erath County Commissioners Court meeting amidst 41 agenda items. The county continued discussions on radio towers for emergency personnel, adding towers to improve coverage.

Chamber seeking catering bids for banquet

The Dublin Chamber of Commerce is seeking catering bids for its annual banquet, set for Nov. 12 at the Dublin High School. Those interested in submitting bids should be prepared to cater for 100-150 people. For more information or to submit a bid, email qcrosie@gmail.com.

MTGCD board approves draw-down study

The Middle Trinity Groundwater Conservation District Board of Directors approved a draw-down study and ordered board elections in Erath and Comanche during their regular meeting on Thursday, Aug. 4.

Children’s educational program with UNT Aug. 18

The Dublin Public Library will be hosting a children’s educational program in conjunction with the University of North Texas Health and Science Center at Fort Worth. The program “Microbes that Call you Home” Thursday, Aug. 18 open to kids ages 5-11 years old.

Community Table in-person again

The Community Table at Dublin First United Methodist Church is now serving meals in the fellowship hall as well as performing deliveries. The meals are free to the community the last Wednesday of every month, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Voter Registration opportunity at Market Days

Register to vote—or update your voter name/ residence information. There will be a voter registration table set up at the Dublin Market, August 20, Wright Park, for Erath County residents. New voters can register at 17yrs, 10 mo. age. Don’t put it off, feel secure in your status this fall.

FBC Mobile food pantry

First Baptist Church of Dublin is hosting the Tarrant Area Food Bank Mobile Pantry every 1st Thursday of the month from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the church parking lot.
