Citizen closed for Labor Day

The Dublin Citizen will be closed Monday, Sept. 5 in honor of Labor Day. All deadlines for advertising and content submission will be Friday at 5 p.m. due to the holiday. For any questions on publication, email publisher@dublincitizen.com.

CCMC digs into new nursing facility

Comanche County Medical Center, staff, supporters and community members joined together at the northeast side of the hospital for groundbreaking ceremony Aug. 24 for the new nursing home. The nursing home recently met approval for grants following the commitment of $3.

Rodeo comes to Dublin Sept. 9-10

Rodeo is riding into the Dublin City Park Arena on Sept. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. when Diamond Cross Rodeo returns for its second year. “Last year was a big success for a first year rodeo,” said Diamond Cross’ Jeff Slaton.

DISD talks staff pay, tax rate

Dublin ISD school board approved the district’s annual budget and tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year after holding a public hearing to seek input from the community. No one spoke at the public hearing and board members Blanca Martineau and Raymond Salinas were absent from the meeting.

The inaugural Rylan Strong Network Car and Bike Show by all accounts was a success, boasting more than 165 entries and 700 attendees.
