Dublin Intermediate News

The year is quickly coming to an end at Dublin Intermediate School. It will be hard to say goodbye to our 6th grade students as they are leaving our campus and moving to the Secondary campus. However, we are very excited to have the 3rd graders join us next year as they will be our new 4th graders.

City Pool reservations now open

With the Dublin City Pool set to open on Saturday, May 27, the city is now booking pool parties for the summer. Pool parties are available in nightly two ($120) and four hour ($240) blocks Tuesday through Sunday. These prices cover two lifeguards for up to 50 swimmers.

Monta stages memorial in makeup

Jeff “Jackrabbit” Harris had to work Saturday night keeping the Monta de Toros rodeo crowd happy as they waited through random rainfall to watch bulls released into the ring. Fortunately he had decades of experience as a rodeo clown and the inspiration of a legend and friend to draw from.

DISD, DPD takes caution after threat

A heavy police presence was seen at Dublin Independent School District campuses Monday, May 8 after a threat was received over the weekend. According to information released by the Dublin Police Department, shortly before 7 p.m.

County starts work on handbook revisions

In a short agenda, Erath County Commissioners Court tackled 16 items at the Monday, May 8 regular meeting. Human Resources Director Becky Keith asked the court to approve a list of names on a handbook review committee.

Hanson Cemetery Association meeting The Hanson Cemetery Association’s annual meeting and cemeteryworking will be at 11 a.m., May 6 at Hanson Cemetery. Hanson Cemetery Road is the southernmost road that turns off of CR 438, in Comanche County. It will be a business meeting only—no lunch this year.

County Clerk temporarily relocated Starting Thursday, April 27 - May 5, the County Clerk’s office located in the courthouse will temporarily move to the Donald R. Jones Justice Center located across the street at 298 S Graham St. Office hours will remain the same.

Police Log

April 17 There was a report of a suspicious vehicle driving around the neighborhood in the 700 block of Cottonwood. Officer made contact with the driver and he advised he owned a house on the street and was waiting for a buyer to come look at the property.
