Community Table ends decade of giving

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, volunteers gathered at the First Methodist Church in the fellowship hall for the final Community Table, preparing and packaging hundreds of meals for neighbors as they have done for nearly 10 years.

Library to reopen Dec. 9

The Dublin Public Library is anticipated to reopen Saturday, Dec. 9 and will be ready to put its best foot forward after receiving a major renovation. The library, which has been closed since Saturday, Nov. 18, has received new paint, brand new carpet, two new murals and new furniture and shelving.

Arrest made in offender shooting

A shooting occurred over the weekend in Stephenville when a registered sex offender was shot. According to information released by the Stephenville Police Department, on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 9:46 p.m., SPD was dispatched to an injured male in the 300 block of Morgan Mill Rd.

“She’s top of the top. There’s nobody higher than her.” These were the words Dublin FFA sponsor Derek Dunlap used to describe Vanessa Pantoja after the DHS junior took first place in Sr. Creed Speaking at the state Leadership and Development Event competition this past weekend.

Nov. 13 A caller had a puppy in her yard. The call was referred to Animal Control A blue truck was parked in front of a caller’s address in the 800 block of Courtney idling for awhile and then it was turned off. Reporting person has never seen the truck before.

Toy Ride 2023 this Saturday

Those wanting to embrace the spirit of Christmas while enjoying a great ride on their motorcycles are invited to participate in this year’s Toy Ride. This year’s ride is set for Saturday, Dec. 2 with registration starting at 2 p.m. at Red Barrel Bar and Grill.
