A crowd of excited kids got to meet some furry, scaled and tough-shelled friends as the Creature Teacher staff made their annual trip to the Dublin Public Library as part of the summer reading program Thursday, June 4.

A student’s life was saved thanks to the quick action of Dublin School Resource Officer and Sergeant Jacob Ivie who received the lifesaving award at the Monday, June 8 city council meeting.

Governor Greg Abbott has been briefing Texans on the state’s actions in combatting the spread of New World Screwworm (NWS) and issued a disaster declaration Friday, June 5 in Zavala and Uvalde counties following the detection of the parasite there.The NWS is not a worm.

The Dublin Woman's Thursday Club spent its March and April meetings finishing up its Ecoregions of Texas 2-year study and electing new officers for the upcoming years.For their March meeting, the club met at the beautiful country home of Leta Sage.
