One Act Play previews Jekyll & Hyde

The Dublin community got a sneak peek at the One Act Play (OAP) team’s “Jekyll and Hyde” on Tuesday, Feb. 20 in the old auditorium. The wellattended performance gave them practice before they attended Zone Contest on Feb. 27. The results of that contest were not available at presstime.

The Tarleton Student Center ballrooms were filled with cowboy hats and haute couture as Lilly G Arena Productions hosted its annual Simply Dangerous fashion show and awards presentation. The annual event also acts as a fundraiser for Cook’s Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network as ticket costs and table tips went to helping families dealing with major health issues in their children.

WorkMed offers employer, employee solutions

Texas Outpatient & Infusion Center, an affiliate of Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC), recently opened the newest part of its healthcare system, an Occupational Health clinic, called WorkMed. The clinic, located at 2287 Northwest Loop in Stephenville, provides workplace medical care that benefits employers and their employees in Stephenville and the surrounding area.

Sales tax drops in December

Dublin sales tax collections were down in December 2023 at 7.5% lower compared to December 2022, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar. For the month of December 2023, Dublin received $60,315.08, compared to $65,246.59 in December 2022.
