Youth Softball to host practice, tryouts

Diamond Krew Softball 10U and 12U will be hosting open practices and tryouts from 3-5 p . m . Saturday, June 22 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 23 at Dublin High School.The league boasts family atmosphere.

BROWNWOODGOOD. Water stained; 79 degrees; 1.64 feet below pool. Water is pouring over the spillway. Black bass to 8.87 pounds are fair on jigs, shaky heads and topwaters in 2-10 feet of water. Crappie catches up to 11 inches are fair under docks on minnows and jigs in 6-12 feet of water.

The 15th annual Hogan Legacy Tournament, offering two formats of play for the first time, was held Friday, June 7 at PAR where golfers played to benefit the museum while earning bragging rights and prize packages.

The 33rd annual Perry Elliott Plowboy Shootout gold tournament will be held Friday, June 28 at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park, Texas to benefit the Tarleton Athletics Scholarship Fund Entry into the 4-person scramble is $150 per player or $600 per team. The 23rd annual Dublin Irish Stampede drew a reported 114 sign up for the race.Proceeds from these registrations will benefit Lions Club in the local philanthropic work it does including free eye exams for children and scholarship funds. The event is held in honor of June being National Dairy Month.

Doctor places in race at 6 months pregnant

The June 8 Irish Stampede marked the 5th 5K that Dr. Haley Banks competed in the past year. Running is normal to the family practice doctor, but she’s making adjustments to her routine since she is six months pregnant.“I’ve adjusted how I approach running,” she said.
