Youth seasons start soon

Signups are now ongoing for the Dublin Youth Football Cheer League with even more options for kids joining the field.“Tackle is going to be something new we’re starting,” said DYFCL president Cojack Martinez of the program for 5th and 6th graders.

John Ward, the new football defensive coach and powerlifting coach for Dublin ISD, is excited to be a Dublin Lion and continue coaching, now going on 30 years.“I have been blessed to be coaching and teaching,” Ward said.
The Army of Lions basketball camp, now in its third year, is meeting in the Dublin Intermediate gym through the month of July from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. The camp headed by Frank Moreno is free for kids of all ages to attend as they run drills and compete on the court. Kids can even compete for a cash prize in an end of the month layup challenge.
