BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 67 degrees; 8.78 feet below pool. Black bass to 9.30 pounds are excellent on chatterbaits, spinnerbaits and crankbaits in 3-8 feet of water. Most of the bass are spawning or post spawn. Crappie are excellent suspended in cove pockets with black and chartreuse jigs and brush piles on minnows in 10-12 feet, with some in 1-4 feet spawning. The deep fish are still full of eggs. White bass are good on crankbaits and small swimbaits in the lights. Catfish are good on cut or prepared bait around the flats

GOOD. Water clear; 67 degrees; 0.14 feet below pool. Water temperatures are in 60s across the lake with some 70 degree water in the backs of shallow sloughs and creeks. Crappie angling is reported as good in the backs of creeks on small minnows and jigs worked under a cork in 2-7 feet of water. Striped bass fishing has been slow to fair on live bait fishing near Sandy Point and in town near the City Beach. White bass are fair to good on humps and ridges on slabs and small minnows. Many are returning to the main body from their spring spawn. Best sand bass reports are from Bentwater to the Shores and near Decordova subdivision. Largemouth bass are good to 7 pounds on the beds using soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Some good largemouth bass are reported working the laydowns in the river above Granbury. Big blues and yellow catfish are slow to fair on the upper ends on cut shad

POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. Water clear; 65 degrees; 0.09 feet below pool. Striped bass are slow to fair with the most consistent bite with live bait on points in 2-20 feet of water, but some can be caught trolling. Look for fish in 20-40 feet of water. Sand bass are slow to fair in 2-20 feet of water with live shad, small slabs and jigs. White, and silver are good colors. Sand bass are spawning in the creeks and river. Catfish are good on cut shad in 2-10 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 4-10 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

GOOD.Water normal stain; 65 degrees; 12.09 feet below pool. Catfish, hybrids and crappie are fair to good on the banks and near the dam. Catfish should be spawning in shallow water within the month. Largemouth bass can be caught on soft plastics. Ramps are closed, but it is possible to launch a boat from the gravel at Buffalo Springs. Fishing from a kayak is possible.

WEATHERFORD

FAIR. Water heavily stained; 65 degrees; 5.10 feet below pool. Some catches of smaller size crappie at the house or shallow on rocks with minnows or jigs. Bass are slow to fair with a few on spawning beds using soft plastics. Catfish are slow on the main lake with cut bait.
