Dublin Varsity Cross Country Boys with Coach Will Parker

Dublin runners headed to Regionals

Dublin is sending several runners to Regionals following the District 8 3A competition Wednesday. The boys placed first as a team, thanks in part to advancing runners Daniel Escobar (who placed second), Giovanni Rodriguez (who took third) and Jilt DeBoer (who came in fourth).

Tarleton adjusts calendar

Tarleton State University has adjusted its spring 2021 academic calendar to limit COVID-19 exposure and safeguard the health of students, employees and communities where the school has locations. The spring semester will start Tuesday, Jan. 19, following Martin Luther King Jr.

The Dublin varsity Cross Country boys placed first again on Oct. 23 as they hosted a warm-up before hosting the district competition on Wednesday This boys’ first-place finish came after the Dublin runners claimed five top 10 spots in the boys 5000M event.

Lions to face Millsap Friday

The Dublin Lions bowed to Merkel 36-15 in the Friday night match-up on the Dublin field but Head Football Coach Bob Cervetto said the Dublin boys are still in the game. Cervetto said the Lions faced some adversity as they fielded several younger players to fill their ranks.

The Dublin varsity Cross Country boys took home another team gold on Oct. 15 at the Lipan Invitational meet while Lucero Marquez took first in the girls event. This boys’ first-place finish came after the Dublin runners claimed four top 10 spots in the boys 5000M event.

Lady Lions massacre Maidens

Saturday’s game against Comanche was a victory for the Lady Lions after losing against Bangs on Oct. 13 making their record 5-7. The Bangs Lady Dragons took sets one, two and four with scores of 25-5, 25-14 and 25-19 at the away game on Oct. 13. Dublin won set three with a score of 25-12.
