The Lingleville Cardinals hosted Eula Friday night and captured a 54-48 victory. Lingleville Coach Steven Bailey reported that Eula started strong and led Lingleville 37- 31 going into the fourth when the Cards “had a surge of 23 points to take the first lead of the game,” which they kept until the end. Sophomore Alex Carrizales led in scoring with 14, all of it in the second half. Seniors Casten Murphy and Augustus Boeve had 13 a piece. Bailey said he was proud of his team’s resiliency and called the game an excellent way to start the season.
