The Dublin Lions battled the Millsap Bulldogs Friday night on the Bob and Norma Cervetto Field, ending in a 44-7 loss for the home team.

Dublin came out strong for the Friday night matchup, answering Millsap with the sole TD when Cooper Hubble broke away from the Bulldog defense and ran a reception far downfield and into the endzone.

The Lion’s ranks were once again filled out with junior varsity players, who had to sub in for varsity players out for COVID-related reasons.

Head Football Coach Bob Cervetto reported in previous weeks that these substitutions are doubleedged swords because although the younger players are inexperienced this year, they are gaining valuable experience for future seasons.

The Lions are traveling to Eastland Friday night to face the Mavericks in their final game of the season. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
