Policing institute Ok’d for Tarleton

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents has approved creation of Tarleton State University’s Institute for Predictive and Analytical Policing Sciences, a part of the School of Criminology, Criminal Justice and Strategic Studies.

Tarleton fall graduation set Dec. 11-Dec. 12

Tarleton State University will celebrate fall 2020 graduates with in-person commencement ceremonies Dec. 11-12 at Memorial Stadium on the Stephenville campus, provided current public health guidelines remain unchanged. Each graduate will receive eight tickets to share with family and friends.

BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water slightly stained; 67 degrees; 2.43 low. Largemouth bass are fair with skirted jigs and spinners in 3-12’ near creeks, rocky shorelines, and fallen timber. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in brush piles and timber near a creek channel.

Double N Cowboy Church hosts family fun day

Double N Cowboy Church on Highway 6 between Dublin and Hico hosted several riders for a family funday Saturday. The Church’s arena offers the event regularly with the next slated for Dec. 5. Books open at 10 a.m.

Tarleton men’s basketball’s first Division I basketball schedule is finalized, as head coach Billy Gillispie announced the Texans’ 2020-21 schedule last week The Texans will play 27 games with 14 of the contests at home in Wisdom Gym.

Tarleton announces game to complete schedule

The countdown is on for Tarleton volleyball’s inaugural Division I season, as head coach Mary Schindler announced the 2021 schedule on Friday. The Texans are set to play 19 games this season, 16 of which are Western Athletic Conference (WAC) games.
