XC Boys place 4th in Regionals

Dublin’s Jilt DeBoer is headed to state competition after Dublin sent several runners to Regionals Monday at Lubbock. DeBoer placed 8th overall in the boys event and was followed closely by Daniel Escobar and Giovanni Rodriguez, who placed 13th and 16th respectively.

Also running for Dublin in the boys event were: Emiliano Hernandez (21st), Lisandro Ortiz (37th), Ty Roberts (60th) and Joel Escobar (69th).

The boys team got 4th place in the competition, missing qualifying for state by a mere seven points.

Lucero Marquez and Sarah Resendiz had also qualified to travel to Regionals after placing high at district.

Marques placed 46th overall and Resendiz placed 55th.

DeBoer will be traveling to Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock on Nov. 23 for state competition.
