Tarleton hosting jazz concert tonight

The first Tarleton State University jazz concert of the semester is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center auditorium in Stephenville. Admission is $5 or free with a Tarleton ID.

Lions start district in Comanche

The Dublin Lions are returning from a bye week to face the Comanche Indians in their first game of the district schedule. The Lions will face their opponents at 7 p.m. Friday in Comanche.

Lady Lions split wins

The Dublin Lady Lions were 12-8 for the season and 4-3 in district play after splitting wins last week. On Sept. 28, the Lady Lions traveled to Peaster where they faced a three set loss to the Greyhounds. Dublin scored 11, 12 and 14 to Peaster’s 25 points in each set.

Lions 4-1 after Homecoming Victory

The crowd at Friday night’s Homecoming game for the Dublin Lions were treated to a fight as the home battled its way to a 38-24 victory against the San Saba Armadillos. “San Saba is sitting there at 0-5 but they’re going to be a playoff team,” Lions Hed Coach and Athletic Director Greg Hardcastle.

Lady Lions move to 3-2

Lead in The Dublin Lady Lions split wins to move their district record to 3-2 and season to 11-7 heading into Tuesday night’s game against Peaster. On Sept. 21, the Dublin volleyball girls hosted the Comanche Maidens and set them in a 3-0 victory.

Dublin tops FCA meet

Dublin Cross Country took top honors as they hosted the Fellowship of Christian Athletes meet Sept. 22. The boys claimed first place out of six teams thanks to the following strong finishes: 1. Jilt DeBoer, 17:31 3. Emiliano Hernandez, 17:50 7. Joel Escobar, 19:33 8. Lisandro Ortiz, 19:54 10.

Lady Lions recognize teachers in home game

The Dublin Lady Lions volleyball team was joined on the court by many dedicated educators on Sept. 14 as the team recognized them for Teacher Recognition Night.

The Dublin Cross Country Boys claimed third as a team at the Lipan Cross Country meet on Sept. 22. Top finishers for Dublin included Jilt DeBoer (5th out of 80 runners with 17:40), Emiliano Hernandez (11th with 18:19 and Giovanni Rodriguez (18th with 19:19).
