Dublin Lady Lions end season in playoffs

The Dublin Lady Lions ended their season in the first round of playoffs on Nov. 2 with a season record of 16-12 and district record of 8-6. The Dublin girls fell 3-0 against the Holliday Eagles. —Paul Gaudette

Lions headed to play-offs

Dublin is headed to the Bi-District playoffs as they play Callisburg Wildcats at Boyd at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 with tickets available at the gate. This playoff follows a 40-39 nail-biter against the Eastland Mavericks Friday under the Cervetto Field lights.

The Dublin Lady Lions were escored by the Sound of Dublin drum line and varsity cheerleaders down the halls of Dublin ISD campuses starting with Dublin Secondary as they headed to face Holliday in Jacksboro for the Bi-District playoff game.

Dublin Lions faced their first district loss Friday when they fell to the Millsap Bulldogs 44-41, but the Dublin boys still have a shot to be the District champs if they beat Eastland at home Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Lions move record to 3-0

The Dublin Lions advanced to 3-0 in District and 7-1 for the season following a 28-20 away victory over the Merkel Badgers. The Lions came out to an early lead and was 20 points over Merkel at the half.
